After thirteen years as the district instructional technology coordinator in the Mequon-Thiensville School District, Connie Jaeger is currently a math and computer science teacher and computer science department chair at Homestead High School in Mequon, Wisconsin. Prior to joining the Mequon-Thiensville educational community, she was a middle school math and computer science teacher in the Manitowoc Public School District. In her 30+ years of experience, she has worked with K-12 students and faculty as a math/computer science teacher, technology integration specialist, and instructional technology coordinator.
Connie has been an advocate for the innovative use of technology to support student learning. She strongly believes that curriculum must drive the use of technology. Working with the library media program Connie has demonstrated that the key support for an effective educational model is a combined information and technology program. Two of her special areas of emphasis over the past four years have included the implementation and support of online learning in the K-12 environment and one-to-one computing.
Connie completed her graduate work at Cardinal Stritch University and University of Wisconsin-Madison, and she is currently an instructor in the Cardinal Stritch University Education and Instructional Technology programs. Connie has designed and facilitated K-12 information and technology professional development workshops, online and face-to-face courses, and summer academies for educators. She is an online instructor for PODetc a division of the Stephens Group, LLC, consultants in educational information technology planning, data driven instruction, professional development (face to face and online), and one-to-one computing. |
