Course Description: Through exploration and investigation, course participants will become more in tune with the innovations in the K-12 education field and develop their skills to be leaders in their own organizations. Educators will examine the latest educational technologies and look into ways to effectively incorporate new technology into their curriculum.

Learning Objectives: This course focuses on the ISTE Teacher Standards (NETS-T), 1) Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity, 3) Model Digital Age Work and Learning, and 5) Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership and ISTE Student Standards, 2) Communication and Collaboration and 6) Technology Operations and Concepts. Our schedule is as follows:

Week 1:  What are Web 2.0 Tools? 

Week 2:  The Blogosphere 

Week 3:  Social Bookmarking and RSS Feeds 

Week 4:  Wikis 

Participants will be active learners completing specific projects and course-long assignments that will assist them in developing skills.
